Breakfast Smoothie

Starting the day right is super important, often we don’t prioritise this meal enough and often we are eating on the go or have short time periods to cook and eat.

The breakfast smoothie below is made in under 90 seconds and is packed with nutrients to start your day right.

Ingredients:

  1. Protein Powder - we recommend “Bulk Powders - Vegan protein” - it is plant based, soy free, low sugar, moderate fibre and also has added digestive enzymes to help support your bodies ability to utilise these nutrients. We like either the chocolate mint or chocolate peanut flavour.

  2. Almond Butter - we like the smooth version rather than the chunky, great value again is “Bulk Powders - Almond Butter”. We love this simple source of fats for our smoothie.

  3. Frozen Blueberries - Frozen rather than fresh, because they are probably fresher, they are better value for money and full of antioxidants and a superfood of health.

  4. Non-dairy Milk Alternative - Ok, so here you have two options: KOKO UNSWEETENED COCONUT MILK or OATLY OAT MILK.

  5. Cinnamon Powder - a simple sprinkle of cinnamon has so many health benefits to your body, the key one being it’s impact on controlling blood sugar.

 
 

Option A: Low Carb / High Fat

Using the ingredients above we can make a Low Carb, High Fat option.
